IRS extends 2023 filing deadline along with certain payment deadlines.
The IRS has extended the deadline to file 2023 business and personal tax returns to February 3, 2025.
The business returns apply to corporations that had an original extended deadline of October 15th as well as passthrough entities that were normally due on September 16th.
This deadline also applies to the estimated payments due on September 16th 2024 as well as the ones due January 15th 2025.

Keep in mind that although this provides relief for the failure to file penalty, this does not extend the deadline to pay your annual taxes as that was originally due on April 15th 2024.
